In inglese significa "trincea" ed è stato creato per la prima volta da Thomas Burberry per gli ufficiali britannici nel corso della prima guerra mondiale, studiato per non fare entrare la pioggia da nessuna fessura. Oggi il trench è diventato un cult, sia d'inverno che d'estate, soprattutto grazie al famosissimo film "Colazione da Tiffany" in cui viene indossato da Audrey Hepburn, la quale lo consacra come capo chic e d'alta classe.
Quando pensiamo al classico trench subito lo associamo a Burberry, ma molte altre marche l'hanno, nel corso degli anni, rivisto e riproposto sotto diverse forme e colori: corto o lungo, beige o nero, in cotone o in lana, l'importante è averlo!
